This sewn leather wallet is a great foray into sewing leather, and makes a great gift! This pattern uses a very small amount of leather fabric, so if you mess it up, it's not the total end of the world - lol. I especially love adding a label / tag to spice things up and personalize it even more!

A couple tips for beginners when sewing with leather:

- Use leather sewing needles
- Baby powder helps the leather slide under your presser foot
- Use clips instead of pins so you don't leave holes
- Cut precisely for beautiful raw edges

The instructions are from a Simply Sewing Magazine issue, which I can't find online, but there are plenty of online DIY passport cover tutorials using leather :)

It's great for gifting! Quick(ish) to make, and it wraps up easily because it's firm and rectangular! Haha - no box needed!
