Fairfield Button-up V. 3
More sewing for the man... well, not the man, just my man ;) Lolol
Pattern: Thread Theory Fairfield Button-Up Shirt w/ short sleeves, hang tag, handmade label, and secret swear-y pocket surprise!
Third time I've made this shirt! (V.1 here) Same size as the first two: Small graded out to Medium at waist
The short sleeve one sews up so much faster thanks to the lack of sleeve placket (ugh), and takes less fabric. Added a handmade label using the selvedge edge to create the background piece. Accidentally snipped a hole in the back yoke while trying to grade the seam allowance, so I created a hang tag to cover it up as a design feature. Also hid a swear-y surprise inside the pocket so he can look down and snicker throughout the day. Sorry, Steve.
Fabric: Cotton - Gold Leaves from Lisbon Love collection. Josh picked this fabric out himself and I almost fell on the floor. It's very different than his normal style, but that is what he liked about it! I really like it and it works great as a neutral!
Fabric is from Needles Studio
Wooden buttons from Joann's
"Steve" label from Inside Voices Labels
The shirt has already seen a lot of wear since it was finished (mid-August). In the future I will have to remember to move the pocket placement up, and maybe even go to a size medium all over. Also, I couldn't resist trying it on, since we are similar sizes - definitely going to be borrowing this in the future :)
